ProSiebenSat.1 Inks Vodafone Distribution Pact

UNTERFÖHRING: ProSiebenSat.1 Media has entered into a long-term partnership with Vodafone for the distribution of its free, paid, HD and VOD content.

Beginning at the end of February, Vodafone customers will be able to directly order and use maxdome via Vodafone’s new GigaTV entertainment platform. With this new pact, maxdome will be distributed via all major cable providers in the country.

For the first time, Vodafone viewers with a cable TV or IPTV connection will be able to receive SAT.1 GOLD and ProSieben MAXX in HD quality. The pay-TV stations SAT.1 emotions and kabel eins CLASSICS will also be available in high resolution in the HD Premium Plus package from Vodafone. ProSieben FUN HD is a new addition to the HD Premium package. Also, the agreement includes catch-up content and the mobile distribution of ten free- and pay-TV stations from ProSiebenSat.1.

Vodafone’s chief commercial officer, Dr. Manuel Cubero, added: “Thanks to the new agreement with the ProSiebenSat.1 Group, we can offer our customers an even bigger selection of TV programs and entertainment content. Vodafone’s new GigaTV platform gives customers personal recommendations for relevant content, which customers can access quickly and easily at home as well as on the go via smartphones and tablets.”
