HBO Europe Hires Commissioning Editor for Spain

MADRID: Miguel Salvat has been appointed as the commissioning editor of original programming for HBO Europe in Spain.

Salvat will be responsible for all HBO Europe’s original programming commissioned in Spain and will be based in Madrid. He will take up his position with HBO Europe on January 9, 2017. Previously, Salvat was director of content at Canal+ in Spain and was director of premium channels for Movistar.

Antony Root, the executive VP of original programming and production at HBO Europe, said: “I am thrilled that an industry professional of Miguel’s stature will be joining us. His experience and knowledge of pay television in Spain is second to none.
