PARIS: Rod Henwood, the CEO for the U.K., Belgium and the Netherlands at the Banijay Group, is planning to step down from his post later this year.

Henwood joined Zodiak Media in early 2014 and has served as CEO of the U.K., Belgium and Netherlands division, comprising RDF, IWC, Touchpaper Television, Bwark, Comedy Unit, Zodiak Belgium and Zodiak Netherlands. He will continue in his current role until the end of November and an announcement is expected shortly regarding the organizational changes that will be made following Henwood’s departure.

Marco Bassetti, the group CEO of Banijay, stated: “I have enjoyed working with Rod since the merger and we have been discussing collaboratively over the summer how best to organize our activities, given the group’s corporate location and Rod’s own aspirations. In reaching our amicable conclusion to part company, I want to thank him for his significant contribution to both Zodiak and Banijay and he leaves with our best wishes for the future.”

Henwood commented: “Now that the merger has been concluded and bedded down, and that the business is trading well within a group whose corporate center is in Paris, it makes sense from all our perspectives to make a change. I have very much enjoyed my time at every stage with Zodiak and Banijay. I have had great support in my role from the talented teams in each of the companies, as well as from my peers and board. I especially want to thank all my production colleagues who have generated such great programs over my time with the company. I wish all my colleagues throughout the group the very best for the future.”
