STOCKHOLM: MTG’s streaming service Viaplay is expanding its reach with rollouts in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.

The platform has been available to customers in the Nordic territories for the last five years, delivering movies, series, kids’ fare and live sports for an annual monthly fee. Customers in the Baltics can now subscribe for 9.99 euros a month for the total package, or 6.99 euros per month without the sports content. MTG has partnered with Tele2 to make Viaplay available to the mobile telco’s customers.

Jørgen Madsen Lindemann, president and CEO of MTG, noted, “The Baltic countries are ideal markets for streamed video given the high-speed internet penetration levels and tech-savvy consumers who love great content. Viaplay brings more content to consumers in the region than any other video streaming service, and includes original MTG local programming too. Consumers will now have access to their favorite TV shows, movies and sports wherever they are and whenever connected.”
