Spanish Content Increases Export Volume

CANNES: For the second year in a row, international TV sales for Spanish audiovisual content have increased, with a growth of 6.6 percent.

All together, the export of Spanish audiovisual content grew by 13.2 percent, with 6.6 percent growth in sales of content made for TV and 19.9 percent for the big screen. This is according to the annual report of the Confederation of the Audiovisual Producers’ Associations of Spain, FAPAE.

Sales to Western Europe represented 36 percent, while Latin America represented 24 percent. Central and Eastern European countries accounted for 18 percent, and the U.S. 13 percent.

FAPAE is one of the organizations that supports the Audiovisual from Spain banner, along with ICEX (España Exportación e Inversiones) and the Xunta de Galicia. At MIPCOM, Audiovisual from Spain will have 22 exhibiting companies and a total of 130 participants.
