PARIS/NEW YORK: Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) is bringing Paramount Channel to France, to be broadcast in HD on pay-TV CANAL+ platforms, Numericable and on IPTV.

This is the second Paramount Channel to launch. The service provides movies from the 100-year-old film library of Paramount Pictures. Daily programming will include films from across a range of genres. The French station will also air two locally produced magazine programs, Le Buzz, which offers news from the film industry, and Paramount Stories, which will focus on the history of Paramount Studios.

A Paramount Channel app will accompany on-air programming with a full TV schedule, video clips and web radio functionality to provide streaming soundtracks from Paramount movies.
