GENEVA: Transmedia Communications has established iConcerts Entertainment (iCE), which will be entirely focused on content sourcing and original productions, and has also reorganized its management structure.

Transmedia’s current COO, Mathieu Sibille, takes on the role of CEO under the revised organization. Etienne Mirlesse, iConcerts’ founder and long-time CEO, takes up the position of the executive chairman of the group, overseeing its overall strategy, new business activities and key global partnerships, with a particular focus on Asia.

“The new structure will enable Transmedia to scale up and meet the growing demand for our products,” said Mirlesse. “Mathieu brings to the table significant corporate experience and over the past six months has proven his ability to optimize and grow the iConcerts global operations.”

Natalia Tsarkova, iConcerts’ co-founder and editor in chief, will take the helm of iCE, which will oversee all content acquisitions for the Transmedia group, as well as collaborations with international partners and sponsors. iCE will also focus on deploying interactive live music formats, such as iConcerts patent-pending social media/augmented reality app the ViPass.

“There are a lot of concert shows out there, but not enough creative television formats centered around the live music experience,” said Tsarkova. “We now have the global distribution network and the production capability to produce such content for our fans. We also aim to feature local stars internationally, and create unique East-West musical collaborations.”
