LONDON: BBC In-House Entertainment and The Jim Henson Company have teamed up for The Puppet Game Show, a Saturday night prime-time event.

There are eight 45-minute episodes being co-produced for BBC One to debut later this year. Each week, two celebrities will go head to head in a number of games, each hoping to win prize money for the charity of their choice. Subjects will range from sports and science to music, nature and mental agility. Dougie Colon will host the show, with each individual game run and hosted by a different puppet character. The game show will also include a backstage sitcom, featuring all the puppet characters.

Colon said: “I can’t wait to get stuck in to the new show. We have a whole host of celebs joining us and I can honestly say that they will have never seen anything like this before!”
