LONDON: Universal Networks International (UNI) has brought the 13th Street Universal channel to Poland’s largest DTH platform, Cyfrowy Polsat, where it will begin broadcasting as of April 4, supporting the Polish premiere of Bates Motel.

The channel joins other UNI networks already available on Cyfrowy Polsat, including Universal Channel and E! Entertainment Television. The crime- and suspense-themed channel will serve as the Polish premiere home for the highly anticipated drama Bates Motel, acquired from NBCUniversal International Television Distribution. The show debuts March 18 in the U.S. The brand will make its series premiere exclusively on 13th Street starting April 14.

“The launch of 13th Street Universal on Cyfrowy Polsat underscores UNI’s commitment to the channel in Poland,” said Tariq Syed, the managing director for Central Europe at Universal Networks International. “We are delighted to deliver Polish viewers thrilling crime and suspense content including the premiere of Bates Motel—only a few weeks after its U.S. debut.”
