Global Screen Reports Strong Demand for Series & Movies

MUNICH/CANNES: Global Screen’s first trip to the market has been a successful one, the company reports, highlighting titles such as the long-running Alarm for Cobra 11

The sales and distribution JV between Telepool and Bavaria Media, the company says interest remains high for Alarm for Cobra 11. The new season of the long-running show has been sold to Italy, Spain, France and Belgium. Further territories to come on board include Hungary, Poland, Turkey, South Korea, India and Senegal. 

Storm of Love had its new episodes picked up by Mediaset in Italy, as well as channels in the Czech Republic, Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania. Danish TV 2 Charlie took a a package of three series for German pubcaster ARD: For Heaven’s Sake, Beauty and the Judge and Circle of Life

TV movies were also in high demand, including titles such as The Hunt for the Amber Room. Sales have been completed in Italy, Spain and France, and new deals were secured with broadcasters in Poland, Slovakia, Romania, Japan and China. The movie cycle Vares scored deals in the U.S. and Brazil. 

Other strong titles from the Global Screen catalogue at the market were Finest Fairy Tales, which sold to TF1 in France alongside deals in Italy, Brazil, Poland and other territories. The Wonderful Adventures of Nils went to Latvia, Poland and the Netherlands. The doc The Cologne Cathedral makes its way to the U.S., where National Geographic licensed the title. Bulb Fiction sold to TV3 in Spain and VRT in Belgium
