Versailles Sells into New Markets

LONDON: A number of new deals have been secured by Zodiak Rights for the period drama Versailles, including a sale to Amazon Prime in the U.K.

The 10×1-hour drama is also headed to the free-to-air broadcaster Channel One in Russia. Additionally, Sony Pictures Television International Networks will broadcast Versailles on its pay-TV channel Sony Entertainment Television in Russia and 15 countries in Eastern Europe. Other European sales include Icelandic national broadcaster RUV and RTP1 in Portugal. In Latin America, the drama is headed to Globosat in Brazil, while DIRECTV picked up rights for Spanish-speaking Latin America.
