U.S. Premiere Date Set for A Discovery of Witches

The entire season of A Discovery of Witches, adapted from the best-selling Deborah Harkness novel, will be available to subscribers of Sundance Now and Shudder in the U.S. and Canada on January 17, 2019.

The series, starring Matthew Goode and Teresa Palmer, was filmed at Wolf Studios Wales and on location in Oxford and Venice. It was adapted for TV by Kate Brooke, who executive produces alongside Jane Tranter, Julie Gardner, Lachlan MacKinnon and Harkness.

In the series, historian Diana Bishop (Palmer), a reluctant witch who discovers a long-lost bewitched manuscript in Oxford’s Bodleian Library, meets enigmatic vampire and geneticist Matthew Clairmont (Goode), who hides a dark family secret. It premiered in the U.K. last month on Sky One. Sky Vision holds the international distribution rights.
