The Goose Mother (Gåsmamman), based on the Dutch series Penoza, is returning for a fourth season, this time as an original on C More and TV4.

Alexandra Rapaport continues in the leading role as mother-of-three Sonja. The new season will begin airing in 2019. It will again be shown on C More, but this time it will move to TV4 after having previously been broadcast on Kanal 5.

Fredrik Arefalk, head of channel at TV4 and C More Films & Series, said: “The Goose Mother is one of the most popular series offered by C More. It feels incredibly pleasing that we are now able to provide TV4’s viewers the opportunity to watch this successful series as well. C More and TV4 are today a fully integrated television business so it is natural for The Goose Mother to now also become a part of TV4.”

Josefine Tengblad, Head of Drama at C More and TV4, added: “It is fantastic to see how The Goose Mother has managed to engage the audience as never before, so it feels like a privilege to bring the story back to life with another season. I’m really looking forward to seeing how everything continues after such a thrilling end to season three.”

Rapaport commented: “I can’t describe how happy and proud I am over finally being able to make this announcement to all the dedicated The Goose Mother fans! I’ve seriously been asked every day about what’s happening with the series, and I’ve found it so difficult to keep it secret.

“It feels magical that The Goose Mother is moving to TV4, and I hope we will reach a new audience to welcome into this world that I love to be in.”
