Endemol Shine International has sold The Boy with the Topknot, based on the memoirs of Sathnam Sanghera, to Zee Entertainment Enterprises.

Produced by Kudos and Parti Productions for BBC Two, The Boy with the Topknot was adapted by Mick Ford and directed by Lynsey Miller. It features Sanghera’s account of his childhood and growing up to face a bunch of painful family secrets and truths in his 20s.

Aparna Bhosle, business cluster head for premium and free-to-air GEC channels at ‎Zee Entertainment Enterprises, said: “Endemol Shine International is known for its distinctive content and we are glad to partner with them for the movie The Boy with the Topknot. It is a powerful drama which explores the complexities of relationships and will surely strike a chord with the Indian audience. This feature compels audiences to feel the other side of human emotions with its relatable storyline. The movie will premiere on our recently launched premium channel &Privé HD early this year.”
