Prisoner of Love Heads to Two More Markets

Eccho Rights has placed the hit daily drama Prisoner of Love into two additional markets: Georgia and Kazakhstan.

Imedi TV in Georgia and Astana TV in Kazakhstan have picked up the title. The series, from Karamel Yapim, is currently in its second season in Turkey.

Following a strong first season on TRT, Prisoner of Love moved to Star TV, where it has become the top-performing daily drama in the late afternoon slot. A third season has since been commissioned for later this year that will see the series extend beyond 600 episodes.

Handan Özkubat, the head of Eccho Rights’ Istanbul office, said: “We have watched the progress of Prisoner of Love excitedly, after enjoying such phenomenal success with another daily show, Elif, in the international market. With another very strong domestic performance, we are confident that Prisoner of Love will once more translate into a great worldwide success.”
