OURO Sells to RTL Crime

PARIS: Newen Distribution has landed a deal with the pay-TV channel RTL Crime for the adventure/thriller series OURO.

OURO will be aired as a territory premiere on RTL Crime in Germany, following its world premiere this month on Canal+ in France. The series was created by Fabien Nury (Once Upon a Time in France) and produced by Mascaret Films.

Klaus Holtmann, the executive VP of digital channels at Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland, said: “OURO is a very well-produced show with a unique setting that we haven’t seen on TV or in the movie theaters for a long time. The series is a great crossover between an adventure and a crime show, which perfectly fits RTL Crime’s needs for unique stories.”

“We’re very happy to be partnering once more with the RTL team on bringing such a unique series to the German audiences,” added Julien Leroux, the deputy managing director of Newen Distribution.
