LOS ANGELES: The Sprocket Vault has acquired home video and VOD distribution rights in North America for the historical miniseries Mussolini: The Untold Story from BoPaul Media Worldwide.

The Arizona-based distribution company recently formed by Kit Parker, the president of Kit Parker Films, plans to roll out the miniseries in late January 2017. Mussolini: The Untold Story originally aired on NBC in November 1985 and stars George C. Scott and Robert Downey, Jr. The Sprocket Vault is re-mastering the seven-hour series in HD, and it will be available on DVD exclusively through Amazon.

BoPaul Media Worldwide was selected as the international distributor by the estate of late TV producer Raymond Katz for all media. The miniseries is a Katz/Gallin production in association with Bernard Sofronski. It is based on a story written by one of Benito Mussolini’s sons, and the script was penned by Sterling Silliphant (In the Heat of the Night). It has not been seen on foreign television for the past three decades.

Herman Rush, representative of the Katz Estate and former CEO of the Columbia Pictures Television Group, said, “The Katz family eagerly anticipates a renewed North American and international audience interest in one of Raymond Katz’s finest contributions to television.”
