AXN has licensed Newen Distribution’s adventure-thriller drama OURO for its Central and Eastern European feed.

The eight-part Canal+ original series was created by Fabien Nury and produced by Mascaret Films. It will premiere soon on AXN in Albania, Bosnia Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Kosovo, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia.

“We’re delighted to partner with Sony Pictures Television Networks on OURO,” said Nadia Chevallard, head of international sales at Newen Distribution. “The series is a unique mix of genres. It’s adventure, but also a thriller and a modern Western set in the Amazonian jungle. I’m sure the series will be a great addition to SPT’s slate of programming in the region.”
