BURBANK: New licensing deals inked by FremantleMedia North America (FMNA) for the classic Baywatch series include clothing from Hybrid Apparel and a video slot machine from IGT.

Hybrid Apparel is creating men’s, women’s and junior’s apparel and accessories, including T-shirts, tank tops, fleece, novelty tops, lounge pants, shorts, sweaters, hats, outerwear, socks, fanny packs, beach towels and swim suits. A line of graphic tees will be unveiled by American Classics, Funko is on board for stylized vinyl figures and Smiffys is doing Halloween costumes. In addition, a Baywatch 3D video slot machine will be released by IGT. Using the company’s TRUE 3D technology, gamers will be able to access Baywatch beach scenes without the need for 3D glasses.

“Few brands have stood the test of time like Baywatch,” said Andrea Brent, the senior VP of licensing and franchise management at FMNA. “The epic story line set on the beaches of Malibu provides the perfect backdrop for a host of licensed products.”

FremantleMedia International is the worldwide distributor of the classic series, which first aired in 1989.
