Netflix has ordered a ten-episode series from Marc Webb and Chris Keyser that is billed as a modern take on Lord of the Flies, in addition to coming on board the futuristic action thriller Snowpiercer.

Kathryn Newton (Big Little Lies, Lady Bird) is set to star in the as-yet-untitled Keyser-Webb drama. The series follows a group of teenagers who are mysteriously transported to a facsimile of their wealthy New England town, left without any trace of their parents. As they struggle to figure out what has happened to them and how to get home, they must establish order and form alliances if they want to survive.

With Snowpiercer, Netflix will premiere the series to its members globally outside of the U.S. and China in 2019. Based on the movie of the same name, the action thriller is co-produced by Tomorrow Studios and Studio T. It will debut on TNT in the U.S.

Additionally, Netflix will premiere the upcoming series Dirty John, based on the articles and true-crime podcast of the same name, in international markets. Produced by Universal Cable Productions, in association with Los Angeles Times Studios and Atlas Entertainment, the show will make its U.S. debut on Bravo. Connie Britton and Eric Bana will star and executive produce.
