NENT Studios Invests in Danish Drama Producer EPIQ

NENT Studios, part of Nordic Entertainment Group, has purchased a majority stake in the Copenhagen-based drama production company EPIQ.

EPIQ, founded by director and producer Anders Dalgaard, will use the funds from the investment for its creative team to focus on developing further original content and acquiring rights. EPIQ recently secured the international rights for Carsten Jensen’s best-selling novel The First Stone (Den første sten).

Morten Mogensen, CEO of NENT Studios, said: “We are impressed by what Anders and his passionate team have created, where EPIQ brings together the best Nordic and North American storytelling. It is an important part of NENT Studios’ strategy to be present in the dynamic and highly creative Danish market and the partnership with EPIQ enables us to work even more closely with skilled Danish creative talents, and to deliver attractive content with international potential.”

Dalgaard, CEO and founder of EPIQ, added: “This is a perfect match for EPIQ. Our mission is to ‘Thrill with Insight’. We are excited to become part of NENT Studios, who share our vision to be a leading provider of high-profile Nordic content with an international angle. This is the perfect platform and an ideal launchpad for us.”
