CJ E&M has notched up deals for a number of its Korean crime series, including Signal and Tunnel.

Signal was optioned to a Russian film and TV content distribution company, All Media. The script for the Russian remake has been under development. The move marks CJ E&M’s foray into the format market in Russia. The story centers on signals from a mysterious old walkie-talkie found by a criminal profiler who communicates with a detective from the past to solve cold cases.

The Korean thriller drama Voice has now been broadcast on pay-TV and VOD platforms in French-speaking countries, including Europe and Africa. Starring an elite policewoman who is also a criminal profiler with extremely sensitive hearing, the drama features several murder cases and a special police squad.

Tunnel has been a ratings hit on OCN in Korea, and it is now available to watch online in North America and Southeast Asia through streaming platforms such as DramaFever and Viki (North America), VIU (Southeast Asia) and iQiyi (Taiwan). The drama depicts the story of a detective who time travels to the past in hopes of saving his daughter.

CJ E&M said, “We are proud to introduce CJ E&M’s most popular thriller dramas to global audiences. Strengthening the weekend lineup with crime genre, CJ E&M pushes ahead to drive thriller TV content worldwide.”
