CBS Studios International has inked two separate licensing agreements in Germany, with ProSiebenSat.1 Group and Turner Broadcasting System, for Instinct.

The drama will have its local German premiere on May 23 on the pay-TV channel TNT Serie. This will be followed by its free-to-air premiere on SAT.1. Based on the James Patterson and Howard Roughan book Murder Games, Instinct stars Alan Cumming and Bojana Novakovic.

“After a strong premiere in the U.S., we are thrilled to work with our close partners at ProSiebenSat.1 to bring Instinct to German free-to-air audiences,” said Barry Chamberlain, the president of sales at CBS Studios International. “Instinct has also found the perfect pay-TV home at TNT Serie, joining our other hit CBS series SEAL Team.”

Instinct is a brilliant addition to our weekly crime lineup. We are really looking forward to it,” said Kaspar Pflüger, head of SAT.1 Television.

Marion Rathmann, programming director for entertainment channels at Turner Central and Eastern Europe, said: “After SEAL Team, the midseason drama Instinct is another great acquisition from CBS Studios International for our channel TNT Serie. This police procedural is a perfect fit for our programming, and the fantastic U.S. ratings clearly show the quality of the series. We are very happy to work together with CBS Studios International once more.”
