Principal photography has started on Mean Queen, the latest project from Incendo.

Mean Queen stars Zoe McLellan (Designated Survivor, NCIS: New Orleans, Dungeons & Dragons), Allie MacDonald (Cardinal, House at the End of the Street, Stage Fright) and Nia Roam (Polar, Dark Haven High, Oh Yuck!). The project is directed by Philippe Gagnon (Twisted, Sleeper, Yamaska) and written by Barbara Kymlicka.

“We are very fortunate to work with such an amazing and talented cast, crew and production team,” said Jean Bureau, president and CEO of Incendo.

The story follows as Julie Taylor is hired to take over a senior math class for the last few weeks of school after the suspected suicide of her friend and fellow teacher. She begins to worry when her teenaged daughter Miya becomes fast friends with the school’s resident mean girl, Amy Turner. Amy’s dangerously manipulative ways and fierce obsession with becoming prom queen leave Julie not only concerned for her daughter’s safety but questioning just how far Amy will go to win that crown.

Mean Queen is produced with the participation of Bell Media.
