Imogen Banks to Head New Drama Division at Endemol Shine Australia

SYDNEY: Endemol Shine Australia has inked a long-term deal with producer Imogen Banks, who will serve as head of the newly established drama division Endemol Shine Banks.

Banks will be reporting to CEOs Mark and Carl Fennessy. An award-winning producer, Banks co-created and produced such series as Tangle for Showtime, and Party Tricks, Offspring and Puberty Blues for Network Ten. She and John Edwards together developed the ABC miniseries Paper Giants, as well as the eight-hour miniseries Gallipoli with Robert Connolly for the Nine Network. Her most recent work was the contemporary retelling of Anna Karenina, The Beautiful Lie, a six-part miniseries for the ABC.

Carl Fennessy said: “Imogen is one of the finest drama producers in the industry. She brings with her a wealth of experience, passion and a proven track record as a creator and producer of hit series. We’re delighted she’s committed her future to ESA where she’ll lead and inspire the next generation of scripted producers.”
