Brazilian broadcaster Globosat has ordered the dramas Eclipse and Refuge from Armoza Formats.

Produced by Amalga, Refuge is about a woman who is forced to go back to the very place she spent a lifetime running from. Years after abandoning her daughter and leaving her hometown, Brigitte returns for her daughter’s wedding. What was supposed to be a weekend of celebration turns into a mysterious murder case.

Eclipse, produced by Duo Productions, follows a family trying to recover from a devastating loss. Tortured by guilt and responsibility after the death of her young son, Anne-Sophie leaves her home and family with nothing but the clothes on her back and the hope of starting a new life to escape her grief. Her husband Bernard is left behind to pick up the pieces. Eclipse will begin airing on the GNT channel in September.

The finished tapes are comprised of the first two seasons of each series, totaling 84 episodes.

Ana Carolina Lima, programming and acquisitions director of GNT, said: “We are excited to be bringing these two series to our VOD platform. Both dramas have a profile that will perfectly match with our audience.”

Avi Armoza, CEO of Armoza Formats, added: “Eclipse and Refuge are two incredibly moving dramas, both with strong female characters at their heart. We believe that they will resonate with Globosat’s viewers and are thrilled to be working with them to bring these dramatic and emotional shows to Brazil.”
