Global Broadcasters Lined Up for Midsomer Murders Season 20

A slew of international broadcasters have signed on for the 20th season of Midsomer Murders, inking deals with all3media International.

Season 20 of Midsomer Murders has already been licensed to ABC (Australia), DR (Denmark), FTV Prima (Czech Republic), SVT (Sweden), VRT (Flemish Belgium), Sky (New Zealand), Acorn Media (U.S. and English-speaking Canada), Knowledge Network (English-speaking Canada) and Société Radio-Canada (English- and French-speaking Canada). These acquisitions for season 20 add to further recent renewals for the hit British series in territories such as Italy (LA 7), Portugal (Fox) and Italian-speaking Switzerland (RSI) for season 19, as well as renewals from France TV and ZDF in Germany.

all3media International recently concluded an extensive restoration program for Midsomer. The company partnered with Deluxe on the remastering to ensure the drama is maintained at its highest possible physical standard for all to enjoy now and in the future.

Midsomer Murders’ new executive producer Jonathan Fisher commented, “We are thrilled at Midsomer’s continued success and extraordinary international appeal. Thanks to the outstanding work carried out by the team at all3media International, we are now able to engage with our loyal and dedicated fan base more than ever before. It is a real honor to be leading the series in its twentieth season, and we are particularly delighted to be featured as part of the U.K. government’s GREAT Britain campaign.”

Louise Pedersen, CEO at all3media International, added, “We’re very pleased to see the huge success of Midsomer Murders continue as the 20th season heads around the world. The drama has sustained over the 20 years and built upon its position as a real must-watch for legions of fans globally, offering the absolute best in classic ‘whodunnit’ mysteries. Our restoration program and related promotions demonstrate our ongoing commitment to ensuring that this fantastic drama is truly future-proofed for new generations of fans.”
