FOX Networks Group Asia Picks Up The First Half of My Life

FOX Networks Group Asia (FNGA) has signed a deal with the Chinese production house New Classics TV for the exclusive rights to broadcast and distribute The First Half of My Life outside of mainland China.

The First Half of My Life, an adaptation of Yi Shu’s popular novel, debuted across China on July 4 on Dragon TV and Beijing TV. Launching outside of mainland China on August 14, the drama will air on STAR Chinese Channel and one hour later on FOX+, which has rolled out in Singapore and the Philippines to date.

The 42-episode series tells the story of 37-year-old Zi Jun, whose peaceful life as a housewife is disrupted when her husband asks for a divorce. She re-enters the workforce and begins to find her way. Directed by Shen Yan (Chinese Style Relationship), written by Qin Wen (Hot Mom!) and produced by Huang Lan (Ruyi), The First Half of My Life features a cast that includes Chen Daoming, Jin Dong (Ode to Joy), Ma Yili (Chinese Style Relationship), Yuan Quan (Call of Heroes) and Lei Jiayin (Red Star Over China).
