Eccho Rights & Storylab Argentina in Co-Pro Pact

Storylab Argentina and Eccho Rights have entered into an exclusive partnership, one that includes the development of The Imperfect Crime (El Robo Imperfecto).

The ten-part crime thriller follows a detective on a Transatlantic investigation who discovers the sinister background behind a series of curious thefts. The series is created by Nacho Viale and Diego Palacio, the team behind Estocolmo and the International Emmy Award-nominated La Casa Del Mar. Storylab Argentina has brought in Eccho Rights to help secure international co-production for the project, as well as to handle worldwide distribution for the finished series.

In addition to The Imperfect Crime, the agreement will see Storylab and Eccho Rights partner on a further three as-yet-unnamed projects currently in development by the Argentinian producers.

“We are so happy to be continuing our work alongside Storylab, in what we believe is a natural and very exciting project for international co-production,” said Laura Miñarro, the director of co-production and scripted at Eccho Rights. “We have a number of potential producer partners that we are already looking to pitch the project to, particularly in Spain but also elsewhere in Western Europe.”

“With an outstanding track record in co-production, Laura is a perfect partner for us, and Eccho Rights’ international network of sales and producer relationships is extremely strong,” added Palacio, executive creative director at Storylab Argentina.
