Eccho Rights Expands Indian Drama Slate

Eccho Rights has taken on the worldwide rights to Star India’s new drama series Broken Hearts (Dil Sambhal Jaa Zara).

Currently airing on Star Plus, the series is about a woman whose marriage ends tragically. It is produced by Bollywood filmmaker Vikram Bhatt with a cast that includes Sanjay Kapoor, Smitri Kalra and Niki Aneja Walia. Eccho Rights will present the show to buyers this ATF.

“Indian series continue to gain traction around the world, and we are pleased to add another to our catalog,” says Nixon Yau Lim, the head of the Asia Pacific at Eccho Rights. “This is a gorgeous production with a fantastic cast and we expect to see high demand worldwide.”

Eccho Rights already represents Star India’s Amla (based on the Turkish drama Fatmagul) and the Indian drama formats Unexpected Love (Diya Aur Baati Hum), Vera (Ek Veer Ki Ardaas… Veera) and Tangled Sisters (Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai).
