Drama Series Days to See New Venue, Expanded Program

BERLIN: The Drama Series Days event, which is co-organized by the European Film Market, Berlinale Co-Production Market and Berlinale Talents, is gearing up for its third edition, which is set for an expanded three-day run.

Drama Series Days will take place from February 13 to 15 in the new venue of Berlin’s Zoo Palast cinema. CoPro Series, which is the pitching session organized by the Berlinale Co-Production Market, will also take place there.

On February 15, the Berlinale Co-Production Market is inviting producers, TV representatives, distributors and series financiers to the exclusive series pitching session CoPro Series. Seven select series projects will be on the lookout for co-production and financing partners. The productions are Freud (Bavaria Fernsehproduktion & Satel Film; Germany & Austria), Cognition (Catalyst Global Media & A Better Tomorrow Films; U.K. & U.S.), Omerta (Caviar; Belgium), Metro (Kelija; France), State of Happiness (Maipo Film; Norway) and Hausen (Tanuki Films; Bulgaria). A further project will be presented in cooperation with Series Mania: Warrior (Miso Film; Denmark). 

At the EFM, 20 series from around the world will take part in the market screenings. This year’s selections hail from Argentina, Brazil, Germany, Denmark, France, Iceland, Israel, Canada, the Netherlands, Sweden and the U.S. The projects come from international players such as Global Screen, Red Arrow, STUDIOCANAL, eOne, DR, Keshet, Lagardère, Sony, ITV, Dutch Features and TV Globo, and producers like Vimeo and Left Bank Pictures.
