CMT Renews Nashville

Nashville will return for a new season of 16 episodes early next year on CMT.

Long-time SVOD partner Hulu will continue to stream episodes the day after their linear premiere. The series will return for its midseason premiere on CMT on June 1 at 9 p.m.

Additionally, Rachel Bilson (The OC, Hart of Dixie) and Kaitlin Doubleday (Empire) will join the series in the second half of season five. Jeff Nordling (Big Little Lies) will recur in the role of Brad Maitland, a successful, charming, egotistical and narcissistic owner of the most successful record label in Nashville.
