Canada’s Super Channel Picks Up Stephen King 11.22.63 Event Series

EDMONTON: Super Channel is bringing the nine-hour Hulu original event series 11.22.63, based on the best-selling novel by Stephen King and starring James Franco, to Canada.

The series will make its two-hour premiere on Canada’s national English-language pay-TV network Super Channel on February 17. Airing at 9 p.m., the nine-hour series, based on King’s best-selling novel of the same name, explores the darkness behind the American dream. It follows a high school teacher played by Franco who travels back in time to try to prevent the assassination of John F. Kennedy. 11.22.63 will be available on Super Channel On Demand the day after its network premiere. The series will debut on Hulu in the U.S. on February 15.

11.22.63 is produced by .J. Abrams’s Bad Robot Productions, King, executive producer and writer Bridget Carpenter and Warner Bros. Television. In addition to Abrams and King, Carpenter and Bryan Burk (Star Wars: The Force Awakens) serve as executive producers. Kevin Macdonald (The Last King of Scotland, State of Play) directs and executive produces the two-hour premiere. The limited series is distributed worldwide by Warner Bros.
