Billions Renewed for Season Two

NEW YORK: Showtime has picked up the drama Billions, which had the best series debut performance ever for the network’s originals, for a second season.

The series brought in 6.5 million viewers, beating out the premiere of Ray Donovan by 7 percent. The series airs Sundays at 10 p.m. on Showtime. It stars Paul Giamatti and Damian Lewis.

Billions is created, written and executive produced by Brian Koppelman and David Levien (Ocean’s Thirteen, Rounders). The series is also created and executive produced by Andrew Ross Sorkin (Too Big To Fail).
