Billions’ Peter Blake on Board for Berlin’s European Drama Lab

Peter Blake, who has served as executive producer and writer on such hits as Billions, Hemlock Grove and Elementary, has been lined up as one of the experts for the MediaXchange/Erich Pommer Institut European Drama Lab in Berlin.

The first module of this year’s Lab is titled The Framework for Successful European TV Drama Series, which runs from May 9 to 14. The second module, The Creative Maze, runs from October 30 to November 5.

Also taking part in the event are Christian Wikander, the director of co-production at Pinewood TV; Jörg Winger, executive producer and creator of Deutschland 83; Lorenzo Gangarossa, the head of international production at Wildside; Liselott Forsman, executive producer (international) at YLE; Eric Welbers, CEO of NDF; and Tatjana Andersson, the head of development at Palladium Fiction.

Nadja Radojevic, the CEO of Erich Pommer Institut, said: “TV drama is more significant than ever before. This calls for highly specialized professionals. The TV Lab has already equipped five generations of alumni with specific skills, valuable knowledge and exclusive insights of how to produce successful TV drama and to remain competitive in the TV production industry.
