Belgian Drama Hotel Beau Séjour Returning

A second season of the supernatural thriller series Hotel Beau Séjour is in development.

Produced by De Mensen, season two will feature the same team of writers and directors as the first run. Season one was a hit on VRT in Flanders and also aired on ARTE in France and Germany. Netflix picked up the show for the U.S. and other international markets.

Emmanuelle Bouilhaguet, the managing director at Lagardère Studios Distribution, which holds international rights for the show, said: “The success of Hotel Beau Séjour has been incredible, both in Belgium and outside. Even though the series has already reached fans worldwide through deals with ARTE and Netflix, we noticed a new spike in interest from territories such as Spain and Latin America after MIPCOM. Furthermore, we are in talks with interested parties in France, English-speaking territories and the East.”
