LOS ANGELES: Azteca America is set to begin airing the new action thriller Rabia, produced by Mediaset España in association with Isla Audiovisual, early next month.

Rabia is about a group of terminally sick people who are desperate to stay alive when a rabies outbreak hits their country. The show, which is filmed on location in Spain, stars Adriana Ozores, Paco Tous, Malena Alterio, Patricia Vico, Carles Francino and Concha Cuetos. The first two episodes will broadcast on November 1 at 9 p.m., with the series moving to its regularly scheduled 10 p.m. time slot on November 2.

“As the thriller genre continues to fascinate American TV viewers, we’re thrilled to bring Rabia to a Spanish-speaking audience,” said Margarita Black, the VP of programming for Azteca America. “Rabia, with its haunting story line, promises to keep Azteca America audiences on the edges of their seats.”
