Escapade Media has licensed the short-form comedic drama 600 Bottles of Wine to BBC Three for a launch in the U.K.

600 Bottles of Wine follows as a recently single woman navigates new relationship territory, where meaning is ambiguous and expectation is ambitious. The dramedy looks at what dating is really like in an era when no one says what they mean or what they want.

Escapade’s Jessica Stonehouse commented, “We’re delighted to be working with the BBC to bring 600 Bottles of Wine to the U.K. BBC Three offers fresh and unique programming, making it the perfect home for this show which is a comic feast of friendship, sex and wine.”

Cockatoo Colab producer Bec Bignell said, “This show was born from Grace Rouvray’s successful blog as adapted into a series by our cross-functional creative team comprising Australian comedy creator, Ainslie Clouston (director and script editor), award-winning actress, Grace Rouvray (writer and lead actress) and myself (producer, Cockatoo Colab founder). The qualitative blog insights were rigorously incorporated throughout the production to ensure an immersive audience experience. Naturally, this discipline and unique specificity enabled us to repurpose the story in multiple formats to service different audience preferences on different platforms. We’re thrilled to debut our entrepreneurial labor of love on the exciting and progressive platform, BBC Three.”
