PARIS/BERLIN: Atlantique Productions has signed an exclusive development deal with Felix von Boehm’s Lupa Film for high-end series.

Through the partnership, Atlantique will develop and co-produce series initiated by von Boehm. The agreement covers international TV series and German local originals. Atlantique and Lupa’s first co-production, Eden, is to be shot by Edward Berger (The Terror, Deutschland 83) in the fall. It is co-produced for SWR, ARTE France and ARTE Deutschland, along with Port Au Prince productions.

“Entering this partnership with a highly experienced and non-domestic production house is a great consequence of our thrilling collaboration in the development of our co-production Eden,” said von Boehm. “Building on this first experience we aspire to co-produce more serial projects in partnership with Atlantique in the near future. We’re convinced that the internationalization of the television landscape does not only allow access to new financial opportunities but most importantly inspires an intercultural creative dialogue. And why shouldn’t we think of our potential audience abroad already in the early stage of development?”

Atlantique’s Olivier Bibas and Jimmy Desmarais added: “Partnering with Felix von Boehm and LUPA enhances an already strong cooperation in order to grow a development slate of German originated projects aimed for the local and global market. After our first development deal with Patafilm in France, this second partnership in Germany with Lupa aims at fostering a strong network of talented European producers sharing our DNA for drama with an international appeal. We aim at doing more in the near future.”
