Amazon Studios Taps Sharon Tal Yguado to Head Event Series

LOS ANGELES: Amazon Studios has hired 13-year Fox veteran Sharon Tal Yguado to head up its foray into event series.

In a newly created post as head of event series, Tal Yguado will oversee the development and production of one-hour sci-fi, action, fantasy and horror programming. She reports directly to Amazon Studios chief Roy Price.

Tal Yguado most recently served as executive VP of global scripted programming at Fox Networks Group and head of Fox International Studios. In her 13 years with Fox, she was responsible for the company’s global content strategy and supervised a number of high-profile TV projects, including The Walking Dead.
