SILVER SPRING: Acorn TV has slated several series for exclusive U.S. premieres, including the British police drama Code of a Killer.

Code of a Killer stars John Simm (Life on Mars) and David Threlfall (U.K.’s Shameless). The three-part drama, which is slated to launch February 27 on Acorn TV, is based on the true story of the first time DNA fingerprinting was used to catch a murderer.

On February 13, the U.S. streaming service premieres the newest season of the British sitcom Birds of a Feather and the legal drama Crownies, the prequel series to Acorn TV’s hit Janet King, starring Marta Dusseldorp (A Place to Call Home). Additionally, Acorn TV has added new episodes of Murdoch Mysteries season 10 to air every Monday in February, as well as the season finale of Aussie dramedy 800 Words.
