A Korean Odyssey, a new series from Studio Dragon, the outfit behind Goblin and Signal, will roll out on Netflix globally.

From director Park Hong-Kyun and the Hong sisters (Hong Mi-Ran and Hong Jung-Eun), the show is inspired by Journey to the West. It will arrive on Netflix this December. The platform has also taken Prison Playbook and Argon, among other shows, as part of a multi-title pact between the service and CJ E&M.

“We are thrilled to work with Studio Dragon to bring A Korean Odyssey to our global members,” said Rob Roy, VP of content acquisition at Netflix. “Netflix is committed to bringing great Korean stories to audiences around the world.”

“We are excited to bring new dramas that Studio Dragon and CJ E&M produced to various countries around the world,” said Seo Jang-Ho, general manager of CJ E&M. “We hope Korean content becomes acknowledged not only at home, but globally as well.”
