NEW YORK: ZEE Americas and the Ethnic Channels Group (ECG) have brought Zee TV Canada to Shaw Cable.

This agreement means that more than 94 percent of the South Asian households in Canada will gain access to the Zee TV network. Zee has been a dominant player in providing Indian entertainment for more than 20 years.

“We are very excited about this development. It is an immense opportunity to re-draw the growth potential, as western Canada is home to more than 35 percent of South Asian Canadians,” said Sameer Targe, the business head for ZEE Americas.

Slava Levin, the CEO of Ethnic Channels Group, said, “As Zee TV Canada continues to expand its footprint in Canada, Shaw Cable is an integral part of this plan.”

Hari Srinivas, the president of Ethnic Channels Group, added, “Shaw Cable customers will be delighted with the plethora of content that Zee TV Canada has to offer.”
