TORONTO: Temple Street Productions has formed a new parent company, Boat Rocker Media, which creates, produces and distributes content and brands across all platforms.

With headquarters in Toronto and offices in New York and Los Angeles, Boat Rocker Media will serve as the parent brand for Temple Street and several new lines of business. The Boat Rocker umbrella includes Boat Rocker Studios, under which Temple Street and other original content creation brands and divisions will be housed; Boat Rocker Rights; Boat Rocker Ventures; Boat Rocker Brands; and Boat Rocker Animation.

David Fortier and Ivan Schneeberg serve as co-executive chairmen of Boat Rocker Media and John Young as CEO of Boat Rocker Media.

Fortier and Schneeberg said, “We started Temple Street with the singular goal of making great TV, and thanks to an amazing team and some fantastic creative partnerships, we’ve been associated with groundbreaking endeavors of which we’re immensely proud. But, the business of Temple Street has grown beyond just the making of television. Boat Rocker marks our company’s mission to build a platform for the creation and distribution of world class content of all kinds, with the same core business and creative philosophies we’ve had from the start, but on a much greater scale.”

“With the support of Fairfax, we’re poised to integrate all areas of our growing business in a way we could only have dreamed of a few short years ago,” said Young. “We’re tremendously excited to embark on the building of a global media company surrounded by passionate creators and a wonderfully dedicated team.”
