Super Channel Promotes Donald McDonald to President & CEO

Super Channel has appointed Donald McDonald, who joined the company in 2009, as president and CEO.

In his new post, McDonald will lead all strategy and operations for the premium network’s four multiplex channels. He will also continue to oversee the company’s corporate finance and accounting functions. The appointment was effective as of June 30.

McDonald joined Super Channel in 2009 as a financial consultant. In May 2012, he took on the role of executive director of finance and administration before being appointed as COO in September 2016. As COO, he was responsible for redefining the company’s strategic direction and establishing new processes, tools and systems to manage costs and see the company through a restructuring process. He has also been responsible for spearheading a range of new programming initiatives.

“I am delighted that Don will be taking the company forward as the new president and CEO of Super Channel,” said Charles R. Allard, chairman of Allarco Entertainment. “He has demonstrated tremendous leadership and unwavering commitment to the growth and success of Super Channel in his role as COO. His vision, focus and financial expertise have successfully navigated the company through a restructuring process and positioned the company for continued profitable growth.”
