Gusto Worldwide Media has opened a more than 13,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art television studio, post-production facility and headquarters in Ottawa, Canada.

The opening is part of Gusto Worldwide Media’s strategy to expand its operations globally. The new facilities include a 3,500-plus-square-foot soundstage, a 1,000-square-foot commercial kitchen, online and offline post-production services, as well as master control and playout. The new building also features an on-site workshop and carpentry, and production is now underway for multiple series as part of Gusto Worldwide Media’s partnership with Bell Media.

“With the volume of high-quality content that we are producing, our own studio made sense,” said Chris Knight, the president and CEO of Gusto Worldwide Media. “Our team has tripled over the last year and we’re thrilled to be finally working under the same roof. This is a huge step towards expanding our company while creating a space that is tailored to our production needs. It’s a dream come true.

“There are strong financial incentives to shoot TV in Ottawa, including tax credit subsidies not available in the GTA. While we didn’t build this place to get into the facility-rental business, there will be about 100 dark dates available to other producers.”
