TORONTO: Canada’s Global has added 11 new series to its 2016-17 prime-time schedule, among them the U.S. pickups Bull, starring Michael Weatherly (NCIS), and MacGyver.

Monday nights this fall will see the new U.S. comedy Kevin Can Wait, starring Kevin James, kicking things off at 8 p.m., followed by the freshman Matt LeBlanc-led comedy Man With a Plan. Chicago Fire returns at 9 p.m., leading into the new action-adventure series Timeless.

Tuesdays see the return of NCIS, followed by Bull and NCIS: New Orleans.

Returning series Survivor, Chicago Med and Chicago PD hold down their Wednesday slots.

Thursdays begin with the return of Superstore, leading into The Good Place (which later gives way to The Great Indoors) at 8:30 p.m., Pitch at 9 p.m. and The Blacklist (which will hand over its slot to Pure Genius later) at 10 p.m.

The high-profile U.S. drama MacGyver is slated for Fridays at 8 p.m., followed by Hawaii Five-0.

The lineup on Sundays features the returning series NCIS: LA, Madam Secretary and Elementary.

Mid-season additions include Chicago Justice and The Blacklist: Redemption.

“Global’s new shows were strategically selected to build on our powerful franchises, deliver a younger audience through comedy and add strong buzz-worthy dramas to our existing slate,” said Barb Williams, the executive VP and COO of Corus Entertainment. “Add to that 15 hours of simulcast and Global’s lineup is positioned to captivate big audiences this fall.”
