Michela Di Mondo has been promoted to the role of senior VP of sales and distribution for FremantleMedia International (FMI) in Canada.

In her new position, Di Mondo will be charged with developing and implementing strategies to maximize the potential of FMI’s finished programming and format content across all platforms in the Canadian market. She will head up the Toronto office and report to Lisa Honig, the senior executive VP of international distribution for FMI in North America.

Since joining FMI, Di Mondo helped launch the Canadian office and has also brokered key deals across the territories in both English and French. Prior to joining FremantleMedia International in 2014, Di Mondo served as executive director at Media Group International (MGI), where she oversaw sales for studios such as Sony Pictures, MGM and FMI. Before that, she worked for MGM in Canada.

“Michela has been an integral part of FMI’s growth since joining the team in 2014,” said Honig. “With her abilities to react creatively to the changes in the market, trends and evolving technologies, and her innovative deal-making skills, Michela is well placed to push our ambition and commitment in the Canadian market.”

“It is an exciting time to be working at FremantleMedia International as we continue to build momentum and diversify our portfolio across all genres,” added Di Mondo. “I look forward to working with the team to continue our expansion in the region and maintaining our great client partnerships across all platforms in Canada.”
