A fifth season of the hit culinary show MasterChef Canada is slated for broadcast on Bell Media’s CTV, with food experts Michael Bonacini, Alvin Leung and Claudio Aprile returning as judges.

MasterChef Canada looks on as home cooks compete for the chance to win a cash prize. The 12-episode new season will begin production in the fall for broadcast on CTV during the 2017-18 season. Casting for the show, which is produced by Proper Television, is taking place in Toronto until September 17. The MasterChef format and finished programs are sold internationally by Endemol Shine Group.
