CMF Backs 19 Interactive Digital Media Projects

The Canada Media Fund (CMF) has awarded a total of C$11.3 million ($9 million) in funding to 19 interactive digital media projects as part of the second round of production support from the 2017-18 Experimental Stream Innovation Program.

Of the 19 productions, two are from British Columbia, one is from Manitoba, eight come from Ontario and another eight hail from Québec. There are 12 games, five interactive media and two software applications.

The Experimental Stream aims to encourage the creation of innovative, interactive digital media content and software applications. Including this latest round of funding, the CMF has invested more than C$195.3 million ($155.9 million) in the production of 345 interactive digital media projects since the Experimental Stream was created in 2010.
